AI offers a quick and easy solution to the "process" the same way a stab to the heart is a solution to life. Microwaved AI art, like other machine learning algorithms, learns from a dataset of images put on an x-y axis, creating numerical points on those images in order for it to "recreate" a different image based on that dataset. Itdoesn't know what art is: it reads thousands of (stolen) images of art then interpret them as numerical points. It doesn't know how to think it through. It only knows how to regurgitate what you feed it. The image bring created isn't accessible, it's just consumable. And to see champions of AI defending it, saying that it gives them leverage now over the hundreds of talented artists, don't understand that when art becomes simply a product for consumption, you're not winning an imaginary competition. You just lose the value of the process.
