5 years of this series, it had really started to feel that Julia's birthday began to stand for more than just her birthday. As she would remark, her birthday had become a reminder for many things in her life, especially her Nane's passing. I wanted to create Julia V with that in mind, how her birthday has begun to mean so much more than her birthday, and celebrate her as a whole. Thus I created a folding zine, showcasing all the habits and facts I've learned about you. The challenge was to show them all visually, and make sure that's enough! Some trivias more obvious than others, while a few tidbits feel a little more like inside jokes. But just in case, on the back of each page are short letters written for her birthday. Those were not included when I scanned though, so these are kept for her eyes only.

As a bonus, I also asked some of her friends to collaborate with me, by picking or choosing objects that represented their relationships with Julia, which is what the last image is all about. It was beautiful to see it come alive and it really made Julia V feel like an appreciation even beyond what I can give. I love you, dear.
